Seasonal Utility Laborer

Dawn, TX

We are looking for two seasonal utility workers open to 1st shift (7am - 3pm).

The pay rate is $17.50 / hour. This position will begin on July 23, 2025, through August 15, 2025.

For new hires starting on July 23rd, there will be a one-time bonus of $450.00 less applicable tax withholdings at the end of your employment, if the following expectations are met:

  • 100% attendance record for scheduled workdays during your seasonal position.
  • Performance satisfactory or above in your duties.

Salary: $17.00 - $17.50 / hour

SEASONAL UTILITY LABORER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks, including fixing leaks and general upkeep.
    • Lift and carry heavy piles of flour and transfer into buckets for dumping.
    • Assist Mill on repair days (perform IPM cleanouts and help millers with various maintenance jobs).
    • Operate equipment such as forklifts and bobcats safely and efficiently. (Certification Preferred)
    • Perform sanitation duties and quality testing.
    • Promote a work safety environment through knowledge of sanitation programs and commitment to a safe workplace for all.
    • Ensure food safety and food defense.
    • May be asked to do other duties as assigned

SEASONAL UTILITY LABORER QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Safety training is required and provided by the company in group settings, as well as individual computer-based training.
    • Ability to work unsupervised.
    • Basic hand tool knowledge.
    • High School or GED.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • This position requires physical efforts such as straining, pulling, lifting, working, and standing and walking on concrete floor.
    • Exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold and hot temperatures.
    • Extreme climate or climate variation
    • Heat up to 115 degrees and low to 32 degrees.
    • Changes of >30 degrees within a shift
    • Exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, especially forklifts.
    • Climbing ladders.
    • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
